This Performance CDI for the Honda CRF450R (04-06) increases the rev limit by 1,000 RPM over the stock rev limit.
In addition, this unit offers a re-mapped timing curve which yields a noticeable increase to horsepower and torque over the stock CDI.
This CDI box is a direct plug in replacement CDI. Simply locate and remove the stock CDI, and plug the unit directly into the wiring harness, no modification needed.
Suitable for stock and modified machines.

Description

What has been improved compared to the original unit:
– increased protection against over-voltage (such as a defective voltage regulator/rectifier, bad battery).
– higher resistance against a defective ignition coil and reverse battery connection .
– acceleration correction: when the RPM increases the ignition delay changes (in proportion) resulting in a smoother acceleration.
– digital technique: therefor the unit is more accurate and less sensitive to temperature changes.
– optimized ignition curve/map to improve engine performance resulting in more power.
– spark power control: the unit will change the output to the ignition coil when the battery voltage changes in order to keep the spark power the same.
– start mode: during engine start there’s a start delay and the unit will give more current to the ignition coil for a faster start.
